Denim and Diamonds:
Formal Dress for Ladies

Please see below for a description as well as guidelines for appropriate attire. We regret that students dressed outside these guidelines will not be admitted to the Formal.  Attire should be both formal and modest. Because our culture cultivates and promotes immodesty in young women by marketing clothing that could be inappropriate, we request that you send a picture of you in your dress to Mrs. Smith or Mrs. Rolfe for approval. This may be done in the dressing room before you purchase your dress. The GCA Staff Ladies will be happy to consult with you to ensure that your attire meets the expected guidelines.  Feel free to bring in your dress or ask one of the ladies on staff should you have any concerns about your dress!
