Dress Code

Why does Grace Covenant Academy require students to wear a uniform?

First, uniforms ensure a standard of modesty and neatness which glorifies God and helps students focus on academics.

Second, they simplify our lives – students are less tempted to compare and parents face less pressure to keep up with the current fashions.

Third, they minimize costs. Though uniforms are not cheap, they get a lot of wear and pay for themselves over time.

As you keep these goals in mind, we trust that our uniform policy will prove to be a blessing rather than a burden for your family.

Students are expected to be in uniform from the time they enter the facility until the time they leave the facility, with the following clarifications:

  1. Students will remain in uniform during study hall periods and afterschool activities (clubs, tutoring, etc.), unless their last class of the day is P.E., in which case they may remain in their athletic uniforms.
  2. Students will be required to wear school uniforms on field trips unless otherwise specified.

Below is a list of expectations for how the uniforms should be worn. Students are urged to embrace the “spirit of the law” as they uphold these standards.
